Hiking in Alstrup Krat & Hohøj, Mariager

Alstrup Krat is a nature area just outside Mariager, up the hill at Havndalvej.

It is a beautiful area with a hiking trail. The trail goes past Hohøj, which is one of Northern Europe’s biggest Bronze Age barrows. It is placed at the top of the hill and therefore has a wonderful view over Mariager Fjord and Kastbjerg Ådal. The hills at Hohøj goes around 110 meters over the waterline in the fjord.
